Location

We are located in Orimattila. It is only 60 minutes from Helsinki (75 minutes from south Helsinki) and 20 minutes from Lahti. You can reach us by rental car or by Über, Bolt taxi or taxi. Or you can take train from Helsinki to Lahti. From Lahti you can take taxi or Über to us. Or you can take bus number 60, 71 or 72 from Lahti to Virenoja bus stop. Pick up from nearest bus stop Virenoja is free. Our nearest bus stop Virenoja is 3 kilometres from us. We do not offer pick up from Lahti or from Helsinki.

Our huskies are world champions in sleddog racing. They are well cared for and they enjoy their life. Welcome to see happy huskies and to take husky ride with world champions!

What makes us unique is that you can meet huskies in our home and see and hear how we live with these arctic dogs. You will visit our home and see how finnish people live. Huskies will be free with you in the yard so you can make real connection with huskies. You can take very nice pictures with free huskies around you. We have big, warm house where you can warm up, relax, have a hot drink and snacks and spend time with huskies! This is really unique luxury experience.

Programs        

1. Sleddog ride in sled or in cart with our siberian huskies.
Sleddog rides are available at winter, autumn, spring and summer. Unique and super fun experience.  Private or very small groups. No mass tourism.

At this program our world champion siberian huskies will take you to the ride with sled or atv-cart in beautiful finnish countryside. All our dogs love pulling sled/cart and they are happy to take you to the sledding adventure. We also let huskies run free at our yard so you can take nice pictures. You will hear stories about huskies and see how we live with these arctic dogs. After husky ride and playing with dogs, we will enjoy warm drink and finnish pastries in our warm and cozy house with the huskies. You can spend time in our beautiful home and see how finnish people live. This is unique, luxurious and unforgettable experience that you can have only in our place. Sled ride is 7 km. Cart ride distance depends of the weather. You can have this program all year round.

There can sit 2 adults and one small child in sled and in cart together. 
When it happens that we dont have enough snow, we use cart/atv pulled by huskies. That is super fun experience. Because of climate warming, snow is not guaranteed every day in winter and then we will use cart.
For us, safety of our customers and huskies is top priority. That is why I will drive the sled/atv and you can relax and enjoy sleddog ride. We have one sleddogteam working at time and we can change the team if you are bigger group.
At summer we have sleddog rides when it is not too hot. If weather is too hot, we can offer you Meet the huskies program. 

2. Northern light sleddog ride

We are away from city lights so it is possible to see northern ligts! Our world champion huskies will take you to the sleddogride in the dark. It is mystical experience to sit in the sled or in cart in beautiful finnish nature, only silence and dark around us. If we are lucky, we can see northern lights! After mystical sleddog ride, we let huskies run free at our yard so you can take nice pictures. You will hear stories about huskies and see how we live with these arctic dogs. Warm drink and finnish pastries inside our warm and cozy house with huskies are included. You can spend time in our home and see how finnish people live. That is unique and luxurious experience which you can have only in our place. You can have this program all year round except in hot summer days when it is too hot for huskies to pull cart.

When we dont have enough snow, we use cart/atv pulled by huskies. That is super fun experience too. Because of climate warming, snow is not guaranteed every day in winter. Northern lights are natural phenomenon which occurs when the conditions are right. Because of that, we canˋt promise that you will see northern lights. 
For us, safety of our customers and huskies is top priority. That is why I will drive the sled/cart and you can relax and enjoy sleddog ride.

​3. Discover wilderness and meet the huskies.
This program does not include sleddog ride.

Are you seeking outdoor adventure? Do you want to see unspoiled wilderness? Maybe pick up berries or mushrooms at autumn?
Explore the wonders of nature in safe way with us and meet the huskies. You will have two great experiences and get memories you will never forget! We offer you a private group or small group wilderness tour. You can see authentic and wild finnish forest and be stunned of the fresh air and quiet, magical forest. We will see where the first finnish people settled in when they moved to Finland thousands of years ago. It is the most magical place in Finland because it was chosen to be the best place in Finland by first finnish people. We see also beautiful rapid and river. Our wilderness guide will tell you everything about finnish nature and its uniqueness.
This program is available all year round. You can see how finnish people live when spending time in our home.

After tranquil and serene forest walk, you can meet the huskies. We let huskies run free around you in the yard (if you wish). You will hear stories about huskies and see how we live with these arctic dogs. Prices include warm drink and finnish snacks. It is possible to combine husky ride to this program with 110€ extra price/person.

4. Meet the huskies.
​This program does not include sleddog ride.

This is our most popular and most liked program. Welcome to meet our friendly siberian huskies!
You can play and cuddle huskies and make photos and selfies when huskies are free around you in our big yard. Huskies love attention and are eager to play with you. You can bond with the huskies when spending quality time with them.
You will hear stories about huskies and see and hear how we live with these beautiful arctic dogs. You can see sleds, carts and videos from races. Our huskies are world champions in sleddog racing and you can hear stories about races and how to train huskies to races.
Here you can see finnish wilderness and hear stories about it's uniqueness and about wild animals who live near us. We are surrounded by finnish wilderness and beautiful forest.
You can spend time and have warm drink and finnish pastries in our cosy, warm home with huskies. You can see how finnish people live when spending time in our home. This program is available all year round.

How we take care of our siberian huskies is what makes us so unique

We have 21 adult siberian huskies and four puppies. We have had sleddogs over 20 years. We are four people who take everyday care of huskies. Our huskies live with us, in our home. Huskies can decide whether they spend time with us inside our house or whether they are outside. We have very big yard fences around it. Huskies can run free and spend time in yard as much as they want. They can ask us to open door and they go inside and outside. Our huskies can spend time in our hole house. There are no restricted areas. Huskies can sleep in our bedroom if they wish and every nigth we have husky company. We get best sleep with our beloved huskies around us! We are only place in Finland where sleddog ride huskies can live life like that. Our huskies are not closed to cages or chains all the time when they are not pulling sleds. We are very happy and proud about how we take care of our huskies and you can see our care when you visit us.

Our huskies love pulling sleds. It is best activity they know. We want that they stay in good condition and recover properly so every day we change huskies who are pulling sleds. One husky pull sled 3-4 times per week, not every day. Every husky get massage and osteopathy. They eat best possible food, oils and vitamins. We feed them two times every day and give always to them pre excercise drink and after excercise drink. All our huskies are racing sleddogs. Our huskies have won 16 World champion and European champion medals in sleddog racing. That is one proof that we keep our huskies well. Here you can enjoy husky ride with world champion huskies!

All our huskies are friends together and they are all staying together in harmony. When our dogs retire pulling sleds, they spend nice time with us. We take very good care of old dogs and they live long, to age 15-17 years. Old dogs usually sleep in our bedroom, we go walks with them, they can play activity games and spend time in our yard when they want. Every day we are thinking how happy and privileged we are when we can share our life with these arctic dogs. We love them to the moon and back! When you come to visit us, you can see how we live with our huskies. That is unique! Our care of our huskies is best possible.

I will give you address when you contact me. We are open only by request. It is easiest to reach us by car, or train from Helsinki to Lahti and then order taxi. Or you can arrive from Lahti by bus (bus stop Virenoja). Pick up from Virenoja bus stop is free.
